Ingredients:

For Chicken Marinade

  • 3 pounds skinless chicken thighs
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of brown sugar
  • 3 stalks of chopped scallion (just the white part)
For Brown Chicken Stew
  • ¼ cup of canola oil
  • A diced medium onion
  • 1 tablespoon of ketchup
  • ½ teaspoon of thyme
  • 1 teaspoon of browning sauce
  • 3 red and green peppers, chopped
  • 2 cups of water
  • Pepper sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How To Prepare:

  • Thoroughly wash your chicken. Pat it dry. Make sure to get rid of all water.
  • Season the chicken with garlic, sugar, scallions, pepper and salt. Set it aside for an hour before placing it in oil.
  • Remove the scallions from the chicken. Place it in hot oil to fry.
How To Cook:
  • Place your chicken in a large heated saucepan without oil. Cook it for 5 minutes.
  • Remove your chicken. Get rid of the oil that came from the chicken.
  • Fry up some onions, bell pepper, and thyme and pepper sauce for three minutes.
  • Throw in the ketchup, water, browning sauce and the chicken itself.
  • Boil the chicken for 20 minutes. Let it simmer afterwards, or until the sauce starts to thicken.
  • Add salt and pepper, before serving the chicken with a plate of steamed rice.
